Getting a university education in Denmark is free for EU/EEA students or permanent residents. For all other international students, the fees can range between about €6,000 and €18,000 a year, depending on the programme.
You must be able to support yourself financially and be able to show e.g. bank statements confirming an amount corresponding to a monthly budget. In 2023, this requirement is DKK 6,589 (ca. €886) for every month you intend to spend in Denmark, up to a maximum of 12 months.
Students normally work 10-20 hours a week. Internships can be either part-time or full-time, and paid or unpaid, depending on the organization.Non-EU/EEA/Swiss citizens may work in Denmark for up to 20 hours a week and full-time during June, July and August. However, this requires a work permit sticker in your passport. If you did not apply for a work permit when applying for a residence permit to study in Denmark, you can apply for one at the Danish Immigration Service.The hourly wages is 75 – 90 DKK per hour.
